No
more messy and time-consuming slotting together of narrow T & G wood
lengths that warp and crack (not to mention those awful knot holes!)
That's
right, versatile MDF 'T & G' style Panels are easy to use, good
looking and economical! Use
not only for Dado Height Wall Panelling, but for fitted furniture (e.g.
kitchen 'island' units), to create that 'T & G' look!
Remember
that MDF absorbs moisture, so must be sealed before use, especially in
areas where moisture is present (e.g. bathrooms).
To
fit, simply remove existing skirting and replace with new (or keep your
existing skirting if it's OK and has 6mm of flat top on which to rest the
panel). Use 'No More Nails'
or similar adhesive and fasten skirting, panel and dado rail directly on
to wall.
No joint strips are needed, simply butt together adjacent panels.
There are 2 styles of panel: W Groove and Flat Groove, both 600mm wide, 1200mm tall. They can easily be cut shorter, or at an angle for stairwells etc. |
